We are also employing Premier Team Coaching. They will work alongside our staff to deliver P.E. Working this way will enable our staff to develop their P.E teaching knowledge and improve their practice. Teachers will teach alongside one of PTC coaches for a full half term delivering and observing good practice.

Premier Team coaching are also supplying dinner time clubs which will be available as a rewards and nurture program throughout the school. In addition to this we will also be running sports afterschool clubs in order to introduce the children to new sports and to develop fitness across the school. With the after school clubs, children will be charged a small price, which will be paid in advance, and will allow us to maintain our high quality sports equipment.

Furthermore, PTC also provide Sports Weeks. They provide a variety of different sports, including curling and archery, and have time with each class, every day for a week, delivering a quick programme of work allowing the children to engage in new sports.

Impact of the Sports Premium Funding:

The sports premium funding has provided a variety of opportunities to improve P.E. provision across Intake Primary school. The funding has provided the opportunity to work alongside qualified Sports coaching professionals to Team teach and plan lessons together to ensure good lessons are delivered every time. This has reinforced teachers understanding of the P.E. curriculum and enabled them to see quality P.E. teaching first hand. Furthermore, the Sports Premium funding has been used to provide higher quality P.E resources, accessible from Nursery to Year 6 allowing for more engaging lessons to be delivered. These resources have also been deployed to children at break and lunch times, where children have been practicing the skills that have been taught in previous lessons. The Sports premium has also had an impact in providing more outdoor equipment for the children to use in KS1. This equipment will be accessible to KS1 and to the foundation stage and will support children in adventurous play. The impact of the Sports premium has been wide reaching across the school and will continue to support Teaching and Learning across the school.
